Welcome to the Côr Meibion Maelgwn Male Voice Choir...
On Saturday, 11th April, Côr Meibion Maelgwn were invited to sing at the launching ceremony for the new Conwy Lifeboat. Some 200 people, including Lifeboat crew, RNLI officials, local supporters and holiday visitors witnessed the ceremony.
We sang for the launching of the previous Lifeboat eleven years ago when the weather was similar; April showers and a blustery wind! Fortunately, we were provided with a gazebo, which kept us mostly dry, rather than the audience who had to endure the showers!
You will notice that one of members is wearing a white cassock. That is the Rev. Canon Hughes, a long serving member of the Côr. Berw was multi-tasking! He assisted the local Conwy vicar, Rev, Kevin Ellis, with the readings and prayers during the service whilst joining us for the singing of hymns and anthems. Berw had also officiated at the previous launching.
Join us for a unique night of choral music. Cor Meibion Maelgwn will be joined by Bridgend Male Voice Choir. The choirs will present a night of traditional and contemporary songs to thrill and delight our audience.
Doors open at 7pm. Tickets £10, children (under 16) free, at the door, cash or contactless, or online from TicketSource.
